The idea that the men hunt and the women gather is an ancient tradition derived from women being naturally smaller in physical stature. This meant they were considered the keepers of the home while the taller, stronger, men hunted. As our culture and technology has developed over the past century women have become much more involved in the act of hunting.
There is something special about the woman hunter. Women have a natural emotional sensitivity and therefore the raw feeling of becoming a predator is often sensed better by a woman, along with all the other emotions of the hunt. Hunting, for women, still begins with a stalk and ends with a story, but the story that comes from a woman, believe it or not, is deeper and more primal than that of a man.
